Little cherub, butter wouldn’t melt….till he sees a cat and then his instincts get the better of him and the chase begins 🙂 The cats always out-run him but the furniture and ornaments take a bashing as where the cats fly, so does Luke!
Luke is 6/7yrs old (born 2011) fully vaccinated, castrated and has a passport. He weighs around 10kgs. He is such an attractive dog and actually a fairly typical type of breed over in Europe – bit of spaniel..Tibetan/Cavalier? Lovely silky coat.
Luke came over to France from Romania with his two female friends but was untested with cats and despite several months of his lovely English adopter persevering …..it has to be accepted that Luke will always be a cat chaser…..chaser and not killer! But nonetheless it does not make for a happy household if the cats are indoor cats and it was their home before it was Luke’s…fair is fair. Knowing his adopter as I do, together we have decided to call time on this ‘cat understanding project’ as it’s neither fair to the cats nor Luke as in the evenings he has to be restrained, whereas his two lady Romanian companions have settled beautifully with the cats and watch with a certain disdain as their naughty fellow house mate keeps upsetting the balance of their lovely new life.
In every other respect Luke is a sweetheart – he loves cuddles, walks, good on the lead, clean in the house and always asks to go out if he needs to and is quite good on recall but an enclosed garden is preferred….oh and he quite likes to invade the hens’ space too the monkey, so no poultry! He’s a bouncy, mischievous boy who nonetheless also loves nothing better than to snore by the warm fire too.
This boy will make an absolutely ideal companion for a retired couple who enjoy walks, gardening etc and who have other dogs too as he is no problem at all with other dogs of either variety 🙂

Luke is a smashing little fellow – he can’t help wanting to chase cats it’s been agreed…then again all my dogs do too!
