From this back in January this year:
…to this yesterday here in France:
This shows what can be achieved to change the life of a very ragged, starving little dog, fending for herself in the forest in Romania! Thanks to her rescuer over there, support from dog:links and a wonderful offer of adoption here in France after seeing her story on here…..Jennie (now called Pickle) made the long journey back to health and travelled the miles this week to get here! She is simply lovely and her new family tell me she is a delight and is busy settling down without fuss, just calm enjoyment. There is nothing more heart warming for me to help achieve this, the reward is massive just looking at this little dog and all the good things that now await her, instead of a sure, lonely death where nobody cared. Please….help me to help more ‘Jennies’ – I can’t do it alone! Thank you 🙂
Jennie is a very special little one. Another one I have chosen to sponsor out of Romania and who will be ready to travel here at the beginning of June.
……obviously cat friendly
Little Jennie is 4yrs old and was found back in March of this year, trying to survive alone in the cold forest very close to starvation. She had clearly been taken there to die and was only stumbled upon by chance when she could hardly even walk any more 😦 Instantly friendly and desperate to be held and feel safe, look at the picture below which was taken a couple of days after being taken to a vet clinic to be examined and have treatment….
She was a little scruffy bag of bones with bad skin infection and anaemia!
Jennie is now a different dog! Her skin is back to normal and her coat growing back beautifully, she has had all her blood tests and treatments, has put on weight (12kgs) and is now having her vaccinations/passport and being spayed.
Following her progress over the weeks, it is clear this little soul has shown herself to be gentle, patient, extremely affectionate, playful and sociable with everyone! An amazing recovery thanks to her experienced and kind rescuer. Tiny Jennie is intelligent and now needs a home where she can being life anew, in restored health as she is feeling fit and full of energy. She needs to have the kind of place where she can enjoy her own enclosed garden, good food, lovely walks and above all the chance to show her delightful character to a loving, caring home…..she deserves the best after her confidence in humans was not destroyed despite being so badly discarded and neglected – I want Jennie to have the best! She is good with all other dogs and cats and loves the company of people and playtime…but more than anything she needs the comforts of home.

Jennie is a delight, as all my sponsored Romanian dogs have been without exception, they have all settled beautifully after escaping a cruel country that tortures an out of control stray dog population – I can only help a few, but those that come to France through me, from trusted rescuers, have been absolute gems! I hope someone will give the chance to have a lovely home in France – thank you 🙂
