Please read his story and help me to help him find his forever home!

Dick

Dick is 9yrs old and a truly lovely soul.

His master died and the day after the funeral, he and his little Jack Russell pal, were both unceremoniously dropped off at the SPA in Cognac:-(  They don’t know what hit them!

Dick was rescued with a view to adoption but it didn’t work out with the other family dogs (small Yorkies) but they cared for him and had him castrated whilst another option/foster could be sought for him so he could be spared the horror of going back to the refuge and his nightmare!

So, Dick is now in foster care with an English couple who tell me he is adorable!  He loves gentle walks (he is a strong dog so no fragile ladies) and loves to meet people on his walks and get a fuss, especially off children!  He sits happily in the garden watching people next door who are having building works done and also watches their cats! He’s very settled with his foster couple who have no other pets but are taking him everywhere with them so he gets to meet people and we learn how he behaves in different situations.  So far he has not put a foot wrong.

But….here’s the rub 😦  These kind people can only keep Dick till end of September when they return to their home in the UK (an apartment that does not allow pets) and I need to find Dick his forever home before then!  He is very affectionate and well behaved on all fronts and of course he is becoming very attached to his foster people 😦  This poor dog has been through enough and he deserves the best home possible!

Please call me, Evelyn, on 05 65 69 12 26 taking care to leave me a contact number and message if I am unable to get to answer your call immediately, or email me at doglinks.fr@gmail.com – all emails replied to daily.

Please, if you can give Dick the right home – no small dogs or small children – he needs peace and companionship, he is such a loyal dog.  He has some pain issues with an old break that was badly healed in his front leg, but this is under control.  But, if you would like to know about Dick please call me and find out all you need to know….such a worthy dog who must have the best home before the end of September!  Thank you.
