Calm, affectionate and easy going dog – real softie!
Fidel2
He’s also quite handsome in my opinion :)

Loves a game – having a day out with one of the volunteers and her dog!

Fidele is little more than a year to 18 months old and it’s a puzzle as to why this beautiful dog has ended up being abandoned because he is such a gentleman. He’s good with other dogs, intelligent, obedient and loves travelling in the car with no problem. He’s good on and off the lead and the more you know him the more you realise he must have had a good home…. so why he’s ended up in the refuge is not only hard to understand but also very sad for this good boy.

He has been vaccinated and chipped and would make a simply fabulous companion and as the name they have given him suggests, a very loyal friend too.

Please contact me or the refuge if you would like this super dog to join in your life – he certainly deserves to find a good life with people who will love him and care for him as he will for them. Contact me by email at :- doglinks.fr@gmail.com or 05 65 69 12 26 Thank you.

Still with their mother but ready to leave in June – pretty babies!

Dusty5Dusty4Dusty2Dusty3

Dusty is one of the unluckiest dogs I have ever met. He arrived at the refuge when he was less than a year old. Clearly this was a puppy who had grown to be too big and was starting to lose his puppy cuteness. Needless to say he had had little or no training :(

Dusty then spent several months at the SPA. He was then adopted by a couple and all was going well until they divorced, at which point they left the dog in their garden to be fed by the neighbours! When the house was sold, Dusty’s plight was made know to the SPA and we went to get him. Back to square one.

Dusty then spent several MORE months at the refuge before being adopted, but again his life was far from ideal. He lived remotely from his owners and was used to guard their chickens. He was left to wander alone or was chained up in the shell of an old car. So once again we intervened and it was back to the refuge for the third time.

Dusty is not a bad dog, he has just not been given a chance to have the life he deserves. He is not good with other male dogs, but fine with females. He is lively and is in need of education and an enclosed garden. Dusty was born in November 2010 and by far the majority of his short life has been spent in the refuge or being mistreated. But he holds no resentment, is not at all nervous or scared of people. He is fine with children, is chipped, vaccinated and castrated.
This fabulous Beauceron deserves a family who will treat him with the love and respect he deserves! Please help find a home for Dusty.

Get in touch with the refuge at Carcassonne in the afternoons or you can contact me on : 05 65 69 12 26 or email at :- doglinks.fr@gmail.com I have two Beaucerons and I can tell you they are very intelligent and love to learn and please so this boy would be very quick to train and be a wonderful, loyal companion – guaranteed!

Beautiful or what?
Zazie3ZazieZazie4Zazie2

Zazie is 3 months old and already house trained! She is living in a foster home with young children and cats and shows every sign of being a real smasher!

Her beautiful face speaks volumes!

Tanka

Tanka is between 6 to 8 years old and very very kind. Her owner has become too ill to look after her and is now in a home. Poor Tanka is alone, bit timid and confused now. She will be a wonderful little friend and companion.

If you would like to give this pretty little girl a caring home please get in touch either with the numbers above, or you can go through me by calling me on :- 05 65 69 12 26 or email at :- doglinks.fr@gmail.com Thank you :)

Another dear treasure of an older dog – kind and gentle :)
lancette1-300x242lancette2-300x239

LANCETTE is a very endearing 10 year old female Beagle cross who was found abandoned and taken to the local pound at Animal Or near Sauze Vaussais. Everyone thought that she had no identification until she was cleaned up and a tattoo was found. After many phone calls it was discovered that she had a British owner who had left France and his dog behind!

Lancette has been checked over by a vet, vaccinated and treated for worms, ticks and fleas, she will also be neutered soon. This is a very friendly little dog, slightly nervous of strangers when she first meets them, but a few kind soothing words and she looks at you with those appealing Beagle eyes, as if to say “please take me home with you”.

Lancette is very fit and healthy for her age with many good years to be enjoyed, so please do give her more than a passing thought if you are looking for a nice family dog. She is house-trained and good with children and whoever adopts her will not regret it. We do not know what Lancette is like with cats but she gets on with other dogs.

So PLEASE, telephone Isabelle on 0977487143 or email asso.orfee@laposte.net now for more information on how you could help this lovely lady.

Or contact Evelyn here on :- 05 65 69 12 26 email :- doglinks.fr@gmail.com
